Growing Life from seed to maturity

Growing Life established as a company in 2004 specialising in indoor growing cabinets. Over the years, with increased environmental awareness and trend to grow your own, our experience & specialist areas have grown and continue to. Today we offer a comprehensive range of urban gardening & eco products for sale from our London shop & on-line.

Growing Life works in an ethical & environmentally conscious manner, our premises operate using green renewable energy. We specialise in home composting systems, water saving systems, energy saving products & organic gardening products to help reduce, reuse and recycle as much as possible. Take a look at some of the projects and events that Growing Life have been involved in for a better idea of some of the ways in which we've got involved with working within the community, supporting councils, schools, businesses & urban gardeners. Edible Islington is a council lead initiative to get Islington growing more & better quality food. Grants are available to support community food growing. For more information on grants, food growing workshops & more visit






The Green Living Centre offers free advice on what food is in season, where you can buy it and what you can do with it. From Autumn this year they will also have a series of seasonal food recipes which provide this information.







Islington Organic Growers Network was started by a group of local residents to support people in learning about organic gardening and growing. The Network organises a Grow Your Own Food scheme, beginner workshops and an annual horticultural show. The group is hosted by the Green Living Centre and meets regularly. Membership is free.









The Ecology Centre is the base for Islington's Nature Conservation Team, who manage the boroughs local nature reserves, run events, courses and workshops. They also run an environmental education program for schools and provide advice on all aspects of nature conservation. The team also run a conservation volunteer group for adults. The Ecology Centre is available to hire for meetings and training events during the week and private hires at weekends.





Islington in Bloom is a council lead initiative to make our borough a more attractive place to live and work. There is something for everyone in Islington in Bloom, including prises!
