About Us These are the terms & conditions of sale of SGL Trade Ltd ("The Company"). Our terms and conditions apply to all retail transactions and transactions processed on The Company's website and are set out below. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please read these through these carefully before placing your order and then print a copy for future reference.

General Conditions

We may change these terms and conditions from time to time without notice to you. By purchasing a product from us, you accept our right to do so. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received.

In the event of the purchaser's order containing special conditions, that order will only be accepted by The Company on the understanding that those conditions are not at variance with our own, or if there is any variance, that such conditions have been waived by the purchaser.

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase any product from our website.

We reserve the right to refuse to sell you any product that you order from us.


Delivery can be made to the UK, Republic of Ireland and mainland Europe. All goods must be signed for by an adult aged 18 years or over on delivery.

Goods paid for by credit or debit cards will only be delivered to the card holder's address, and must be signed for by the cardholder. This is to protect our customers from fraudulent card transactions, ensuring that the person that has paid for the goods receives the goods.

Delivery charges and timescales are specified within the checkout confirmation section. The Company will use its' best endeavours to meet the estimated delivery times, but cannot accept liability whatsoever for failure to do so.


Credit and debit Cards

Credit and Debit card payments are taken from your card at the time we receive your order.

Cash, cheque or postal order

Payment can be completed by bringing cash to our retail outlet or by posting cash, a cheque or a postal order. Simply print the window showing your completed order and supply with your preferred payment method. We strongly recommend registered or special delivery, insured against loss or theft, to ensure the safety of your postal payment.

Direct into our bank account

Payment may be made by putting money directly into a bank account which we have set up especially for our customers. Funds can be transferred to our account by electronic transfer, internet/telephone banking or by depositing cash sterling into any HSBC branch worldwide, quoting our Account Name: SGL trade Ltd, Sort Code: 40-03-33, and Account Number: 92008580

All postal payments, cheques and order print-outs should be made payable to SGL Trade Ltd and posted to SGL Trade Ltd, 6 Newington Green Road, London, N1 4RX.


Goods are subject to availability. In the event that we are unable to supply the goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. An option of a full refund will be given where you have already paid for the goods.

We may also offer alternative products to you which are equivalent in terms of functionality and price. If you choose to accept these alternative products you will be liable for any difference in value between the products. If the products are cheaper than those initially ordered we will refund the difference within 30 days of you accepting the alternative products.


The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order. Prices quoted are inclusive of Value Added Tax. Value Added Tax will be charged at the applicable rate.

Prices on our website do not include delivery expenses. For more information, please go to delivery charges.

While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.

Whilst every endeavour has been made to ensure accuracy of prices quoted, no responsibility is accepted for any error or omissions.

Limitation of Liability

All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law (save for the conditions implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979) are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from the Contract.

Nothing in these conditions excludes or limits the liability of the Company:

* for death or personal injury caused by the Company's negligence; or
* under section 2(3), Consumer Protection Act 1987; or
* for any matter which it would be illegal for the Company to exclude or attempt to exclude its liability; or
* for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to clause the above:

* the Company's total liability in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of the Contract shall be limited to the contract price; and
* the Company shall not be liable to the purchaser for any pure economic loss, loss of profit, loss of business, depletion of goodwill or otherwise, in each case whether direct, indirect or consequential, or any claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (howsoever caused) which arise out of or in connection with the contract.

Force Majeure

The Company reserves the right to defer the date of delivery or to cancel the Contract or reduce the volume of the Goods ordered by the purchaser (without liability to the purchaser) if it is prevented from or delayed in the carrying on of its business due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control including without limitation, acts of God, governmental actions, war or national emergency, acts of terrorism, protests, riot, civil commotion, fire, explosion, flood, epidemic, lock-outs, strikes or other labour disputes (whether or not relating to either party's workforce), or restraints or delays affecting carriers or inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials. The Company will inform the purchaser as soon as is reasonably practicable and endeavour to come to a mutually satisfactory solution. If the event in question continues for a continuous period in excess of 21 days following notification to the purchaser, the purchaser shall be entitled to give notice in writing to the Company to terminate the contract.

Governing Law

The contract between us shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. English is the only language offered for the conclusion of the contract.


If any of these conditions are deemed invalid and/or unenforceable, it'll not affect the remaining conditions.

If either party does not seek to enforce their rights under these terms and conditions, it'll not prevent either party from being able to take action in the future.

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept card payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept all major credit cards accept American Express. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling Orders are handled internally by SGL Trade Ltd.

SGL Trade Ltd make all efforts to be sure that your goods reach you in good condition.

Depending on size, orders are typically dispatched in boxes, larger orders on pallets.

SGL Trade Ltd make all efforts to be environmentally conscious when packing goods, re-using bubble wrap and the boxes we receive from suppliers.
Delivery Schedule We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in 3 business days.

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, VAT is charged at the applicable UK rate.
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Returns Policy If you are not completely satisfied with the order you have received from SGL Trade Ltd you may return it to us within 14 days from the date of delivery, please note some exclusions apply.
You will be responsible for the cost of returning the products unless the goods you have received are faulty, incorrect or damaged on delivery.
To return an order it is necessary to notify us within seven days from the date you received the items, please have your invoice at hand as you will need to quote your order number and date of purchase.
Should you wish to return your goods, or they are faulty, incorrect or damaged on delivery you can ask to exchange the goods or have your money back subject to them being received unused, as sold in the condition they were supplied and that you have not opened saleable/sealable packaging. A 14 day limit applies to this guarantee.

Please always include a copy of the Sales Invoice received with your order. Any refunds will be paid within 30 days of receipt of the returned order.
Exclusions: excludes system installations and products made to customised requirements. This does not affect your statutory rights.
